and 23, Carson Graham
Senior Secondary
School in North

ancouver will be

holding its 4th Annual
B.C. Vocal Jazz
Festival.

Thirty-five Jazz Choirs,
involving over 1,000 student
vocalists from throughout
B.C. and the Pacific Nor-
thwest, will be meeting in
competition. This two day
event is the only Vocal Jazz
Festival held in Canada.

On Saturday evening.
February 23, starting at 8:00
p-m. Vancouver is in for a
special treat. At that time
the “Soundsations Swing
Choir” and the “Sound-
sations Jazz Choir” under the

special concert at Carson
Graham, 2145 Jones, North
Vancouver, B.C.

The “Soundsations” were
guest’ performers at the
Montreaux Jazz Festival in
Switzerland in 1978 per-
forming along side of the
world’s top Jazz performers.

The Montreaux Jazz
Festival is considered one of
the most prestigious Jazz
Festivals in the world and it
iS a rare opportunity for the
people of Vancouver to hear
a Jazz group of the caliber of
the “Soundsations” in live
performance.
