What is your best method for painting concrete garage floors?

PAINTING CONCRETE FLOORS:

We recommend that you thoroughly clean the

garage floor with out special cleaning formula. Rinse

well and allow to dry.

SEALING CONCRETE SURFACES;

Once you have cleaned the floor, you may also
wish to seal the concrete surface. We recommend that

you purchase a product called HYDROSTOP.
HYDROSTOP is produced by Kryton

International. HYDROSTOP inust be applied by means
of a low pressure “weed type” sprayer. Make certain
that the area is well ventilated and/or wear a mask.
Spray on as much HYDROSTOP as the concrete can
absorb. This is important as a “misting spray” is not
adequate. The area should be quite damp, allowing the
HYDROSTOP to peretrate the surface, sealing the
pores and giving the waterproofing effect needed.
HYDROSTOP is produced by Kryton
International and are available at your local building

supply stores. If you are unable to find the Kryton
products, please contact the Kryton office and ask for
the name of their distributor in vour area.

Hf you are planning on painting the concrete,
allow 3 days for the HYDROSTOP to “set” before the
application of any paint products.

We would then recommend that you apply. a
good quality CONCRETE ACRYLIC LATEX
ENAMEL paint. If you anticipate very heavy wear on
the concrete floor, we would suggest that you use the
CONCRETE EPOXY PAINT by the Pittsburgh Paint
Company.
