HANDSWORTH sur-
prised everyone by win-
ning seven of 10
matches and finishing
fourth in the 16-school
B.C. triple-A girls’ vol-
leyball championships
Saturday at Capilano
College Sportsplex.
North Vancouver played
host to both the triple-A and
double-A championships last
weekend at five sites. The
finals were played at Capilano

College.

the championships began.
Both Argyle and West
Vancouver ended with 6-4

In addition to some strong
team showings by North
Shore squads, local individuals
also left their mark.

Handsworth’s Anna Rice
was selected to the triple-A
tournament first all-star team,
and te’s Fiona Findley was
picked for the second team.
