draw aitention to a simmering
labor dispute,

The nurses, who gre members of
the (2.0. Nueses’ Union (BONU),
will join their counterparts fram
Vancouver, Harnaby and
Richmond fara two-hour rally in
Vancouvel.

The community belt nurses
have been without a contract for
over 1wo yeits,

A Labor Refations Board media-

The move paves the way for work
disruptions.

“We are still willing to meet and
bargain with the employer,” said
BCNU bargaining committee chair
Chris Bentley.

Said Bentley. “We felt there was
no ground to mediate, te was a uni-
lateral decision (of the employer) to
mediate.”
