28 - Wednesday, March 9, 1994 - North Shore News Second annual LGH 911 Relay calls for art | IF YOU'VE ever wanted to wage war on those annoying T-shirt designs, slogans and fogos insulting your good sense every time you pass one on the street, well, here’s your chance. The Lions Gate Hospital is organizing its second annual LGH 911 Relay taking place Sunday, Sept. 25 and the event is to feature the artwork of a local artist on the relay T-shirts and event poster. Thus, the relay committee would like to receive design sub- missions from interested! artists by Monday, March 21. As the event focuses on the total North Shore area, from Deep Cove to Whistler, the design should reflect the appear- ance and spirit of the region. A small honorarium will be paid for the winning design. The fundraising event is expected to draw more than 1,500 North Shore participants and spectators to Ambleside Park. For more information and details on where to send your submission, call Nancy Fontanne at 732-5248 or Susan Pridham at 925-0450.
