My ethnic background has been
the butt of jokes for centuries, and
continues to be so today. Trouble
is, years ago we never had these
municipal complaints departments
for the thin-skinned, and one
wonders how we ever survived, but
of course we did.

Today we ere being brainwashed
into thinking multicult in our Ca-
nadian mosaic fantasyland. Yet
woe betide anyone who dizes to
mention a specific ‘‘multi’’ in any
one of those ‘‘cults,"” — it’s ‘‘Off
with his head!’’

I came to Canada with the in-
tention of fitting into a new socie-
ty, not with a concerted effort to
convert that society into something
other than what it always was. It
was certainly good enough for all
the generations who lived here be-
fore I came on the scene, so who
am I — or anyone of my ilk — to
figure it wasn’t so great after all,
and must be changed?

COLLINS:

It is not too often that I take the
time to respond to a newspaper ar-
ticle; however, in this instance I
feel compelled to comment on
your RCMP article.

Thank you Doug Collins.

1 work for Canada Safeway
Limited and over the past 15 years,
we have employed ex-RCMP of-
ficers for departmental positions
within our company (e.g. head of
security, real estate, employee rela-
tions, etc.).

The point I wish to make here is
they, along with myself, all agree
100 per cent with your point of
view and wish that we could con-
vince Ottawa that the French lan-
guage in Western Canada is strictly
a farce — we, as taxpayers, object
strongly to the heavy costs to the
public at large.

Hopefully, you will continue
your crusade, and that we will see
future articles ... keep up the good
work.
