Patrick (987-6621) is the North Shore’s resident expert on the complex subject of a comprehen- sive nuclear test ban and he’s already having a busy year pursu- ing his cause. The carlier West Van miracle was that of 64-year-old ar- tist Daniel Izzard who received the heart of a 16-year-old girl in January 1986 at University Hospi- tal in London, Ont., and today is the picture of health and vigor. At press time, with critical days still ahead, Willi was reported to be “doing very well’. Honesty found ONESTY IS indeed the best potty, as a recent tale of lottery winnings tells. | &. Thanks to the honesty of two North Van- couver lottery ticket merchants, a local resident is now a whopping $3.7 million richer. When the hurried businessman plunked down $18 for lottery tickets, he had no time to take them with him. He found out he won only when the merchants called his home with the good news. How easy it would have been for the two ticket sell- ers to claim the windfall for themselves — a quick ticket switch and no one would have been the wiser. But they didn’t — to their credit. It is a refreshing change to see that some people are truly good hearted, and care less about money than helping others. Such a tale restores faith in “umanity in an age where all too often pecple are seltish and fickle, caring only for themselves and not their fellow man.
