ticular attention to coverage

Insurance Corporation of
B.C. as over 62,000 renewal

to purchase 12 months of
insurance coverage
regardiess of the time of
year. Previously, all
Coverages expired on the last
day of February regardless
of when. they were pur-
‘-chased.

disagreement over money
between automotive body
shop owners and the In-
surance Corporation of B.C.
could end up being reflected
in higher costs to motorists.
Ron Baldwin, general
manager of the Automotive
Retailers Association, said
Tuesday that ICBC is not
paying the body shops
enough to allow for a
reasonable profit margin.
The owners received a $2
increase April 1, bringing
the hourly rate to $26.50, but
Baldwin said it was in-
sufficient because the in-
crease was viewed as last
year’s increase, when it was

an-hour increase in a one-
year contract.

troduction last year, the
modified renewal system has
moved the expiry date of
approximately 470,000
policies to another time of
the year.”

Autoplan renewal forms
are now sent out at the
beginning of the month in
which coverage expires.

Vehicle owners who do
not receive renewal forms in
the mail, should contact an
Autoplan Agent or a Motor
licence office.
