But in a trial last week in West Vancouver Provincial Court, Victor Chapman, aged 19, of 39 Glenmore Drive, was found not guilty of causing a disturbance the same ¢vening. Chapman was charged after West Vancouver Police were called to break up a noisy party of about 200 people in the 500 block Howe Sound Lane, at about la.m. , Constable testified in Bernard Ball court, that Chapman was one of 35 to 40 people who were on the street and were requested to leave the area. Ball said that Chapman _ began to leave, but he then returned and was arrested when he refused to leave the area, Chapman denied he was attempting to return to the party when he was arrested, and he also said he did not shout) loudly and cause a disturbance, as Ball said he had done. Judge R. Grandison, delayed the sentencing of Chapman until a_ pre- sentence report can be prepared.
