for handicapped students. A North Shore resident for 14 years, she has also
worked witb senfor citizens at Lions Gate Hospital and on charity projects.

Student unemployment tops her list as the most important issue facing youth
today, but she alse cites as concerns (he quest for peace and acid rain.

The. university student is majoring in clinical psychology and law. She
catered the pageant to have fun and ‘‘stress independence, creativity and
style. * :

© Active in her church youth group and at the North Vancouver Rec Centre,
the 21-year-old Capilano College student entered tbe pageant to become better
acquainted with the community. Her wide-ranging interests include designing,
bike riding and sports, and Schulze plans to obtain a business management
degree and start her own business, preferably in the art or clothing industry.
She bas run a KOA campground and received merit, penmanship and attén-
dance awards in school. To her, the most important issue facing youth today is
unemployment, but she notes service for the Jess-fortuaate is important, too.
For her heroine, the two-year North Shore resident fists her mother.
