Chesterfield Place is now the right-of-way running south from the intersection of Chesterfield Avenue and Carrie Cates Court, while the nearby right-of-way running Streets named in a south-easterly direction from Chesterfield Place will henceforth be known as Chadwick Court. Both streets are located in the Lonsdale Quay area where downtown revitalization work is being considered. Halil, chairman of the City’s naming committee, ex- plained that Chadwick Court had been named after Jack Chadwick, who had been a City alderman for about 12 years. Describing Chadwick as a ‘‘colorful person,” Hall said that the former alderman’s long-time employment with the National Harbors Board, fit in well with the nautical theme of the Lonsdale Quay area.
