Edgemont
Village opens

THE EDGEMONT Village
Merchants Association will
be receiving $2000 in grant
money from the District of
North Vancouver to. help
cover costs of the grand
opening of the Edgemont
Village revitalization project.

Although the request for
the funds was not made
formally to Council, it was
approved subject to the
Association’s provision of a
detailed budget to the
District.

The grand opening is
scheduled to take place June
2. The Association has
received permission to
temporarily close Edgemont
Boulevard between Queens
and Crescentview, and
Highland Boulevard between
Newmarket and Woodbine
arom Il a.m. to4p.m.

Dignitaries expected at the
Opening ceremonies include
Mayor Marilyn Baker,
District aldermen, MLA
Angus Ree and Bill Ritchie,
Minister of Municipal
Affairs.
