Obviously, my reader had

written a long list of
questions and was reading
them off to me, with long
pauses as he took down the
replies verbatim. One
question choked me up!

of permission from my

I was afraid to ask him his
age but my guess would be

cradle-robbers on how to
borrow children for
, European jaunts BUT many
families find themselves
toting along their son's
friend or some little niece or
nephew when they go on
vacation.

On several occasions we
took our babysitter with us
when our kids were small
enough to neéd a keeper if
we wanted to spend an
evening “on the town”. Our
sitter was the daughter of
friends and Heather fitted
into our family as if she
belonged there.
