Snow hearing adjourned THE CONTINUING trial of an Ontario man who was convicted of a string of sexual assault charges has again been delayed in North Vancouver provincial court. On Thursday, April 8, Judge Jerome Paradis ad- journed a dangerous offender hearing for David Alex- ander Snow to Monday, July 12, which will be one year to the day after Snow was arrested outside the Bridge House restaurant in North Vancouver in 1992. Paradis said he was forced to adjourn the hearing because Snow's lawyer Sheldon Goldberg, who was not in court on Thursday, was ill. While Snow has been convicted of sexual assault and armed robbery charges against women is Vancouver and North Vancouver, he has yet to %e sentenced on the charges. Crown counsel Greg Weber is attempting to have Snow declared a dangerous offender. Dangerous offend- er status could result in an indefinite jail sentence for - Snow, who was the subject of the largest manhunt ever ’ staged by the North Vancouver RCMP. Two psychiatrists were scheduled to testify in court on Thursday, one having flown in for the hearing from Kelowna. Snow is also charged with murder in Ontario.
