Materials

fresh oranges or limes
(dried available at floral
stores)

sharp knife

thin gold ribbon

gold spray paint

straight pins

thin 22” gauge wire
organza ribbon

glue gun

Take vour tresh orange
and make vertical slices every
one-quarter to halfineh
around the orange. You can
also use limes as they work
just as well.

Put your orange in a ve
dry room and let it dry. This
process can take as little as
two weeks to one month, If
you would like the ornament
for this vear, vou should be
able to tind dried fruit at
orist shops and some cratt
stores.

Once the truit is com-
pletely dry you should be lett
with an orange that has slice
marks around the outside.
You can now spray the
orange with gold paint and
let it dry.

Next, make a bow with
the organza ribbon and wire.
Cut the ends of the wire so
the bow may be glued to the
top of the orange.

With your thin gold rib-
bon, make a farge loop and
push a straight pin through
the cut ends. This will be
your hanging loop.

pin through the organza bow
that has been attached to the
top of the orange.

These oranges will last for
a very long time and can be
touched up with gold paint

shine!
