Olive Hastie’s fab centennial celebration

THE North Shore's own Olive Hastie was the star of a ceiehra-

non held recently in honor of her 100th birthday. To mark the
milestone, her nephew -- one of Canada’s foremost entrepre

neurs —- fimumy Pattison and his wite Mary hosted a quaint
afternoon tea at their North Shore heme. ft was a wondertul
gathering punctuated by laughter, story sharmig and lots of
hugs for the birthday gal. Farad tnembers, special guests and
fiends sang happy birthday as a beautifully decorated, candle

Queen Filzabeth, sent words of congratulations and it was wrcat

the occasion but perhaps the best one was Olive Hastie herselt

She looks marvelous, has a wondertill sense of humor, is well

loved and sports one of those kindly, nurturing: smiles, which
instantly warms the soul and makes one tee! that all is well.
