stayed with that company for
three years, building a foundation
doing showroom sales and work-
ing her way up from there.

“At that ime my goal was to
have a good time doing something
I really enjoyed and believed in.
But it was whac { learned then
that has given me success today.

knowledgeable, professional, sup-

pertive and committed to the
company vision.

Jabot a positive and exciting en-
vironment for customers and
employees alike.

“Ou April Fool’s Day 1990, i
took my visions, ideas and energy
and opened up Jabot Window
Designs. At first few people
believed 1 could niake the business
succeed, but 1 believed in myseif
and my vision.

“Il live and work by a philoso-
phy Fve carried with me through
the ups and downs, That is,if 1
pet the effort in 1 canuot kelp but
get goad resulis in return.

“For the lust two years we have
succeeded in realizing our vision
through challenging economic

times. 1 look forward to building
a store where everyone’s expecta-
tions are met.”*

Charlene has always had an en-
trepreneurial spirit. Before enter-
ing the window-cavering business
she ran a windew-cleaning com-
pany, and she is a member of the
Young Entrepreneurial Organiza-
tion.

Her success also runs into her
family life, being a mother of an
11-year-old daughter.

Charlene keeps physically con-
ditioned, despite a busy schedule,
participating in marathons such as
the Khatsilana Run.

Also very artistic, she has a
natural Mair for fabrics and tex-
tures.
