THE FOLLOWING people ap-
peared in North and West Van-
couver courts recently to face
various charges.

Before Judge William Rodgers in
North Vancouver provincial court
on Nov. 6:

Robert T. Calkins, 22, of West
Vancouver, was fined $500 after
he pleaded guilty to causing
mischief under $1,000 by damag-
ing a radio car antenna on Sept.
28.

Calkins was also ordered to pay
restitution of $30 to the RCMP.
Before Judge Doug Moss in North
Vancouver provincial court on
Nov. 1:

Vince Mario Macri, 33, of
North Vancouver, was fined $300
after he pleaded guilty to driving
May 14 on Inglewood Avenue in
West Vancouver without a driver’s
licence.

Before Judge Doug Moss in North
Vancouver provincial court on
Oct. 31:

Charles John Perkins, 43, of
North Vancouver, received a
suspended sentence and was plac-
ed on probation for six months
after he pleaded guilty to stealing
a tuler from London Drugs on
July 19,

As a condition of probation,
Perkins was ordered to complete
25 hours of community service.
Before Judge William Rodgers in
North Vancouver provincial court
on Oct. 31:

Michael S. Edwards, 20, of
Vancouver was sentenced to 30
days ‘n jail after he pleaded ‘uilty
to being in possession of a stolen
Toyota Tercel on Oct. 23.

Also appearing Oct.30 before
Judge Doug Moss, Edwards was
sentenced to seven days in jail
after he was found guilty of being
in possession o1 cocaine in con-

North Vancouver, pleaded guilty
to stealing a tote bag on May 5.

Mitchell was fined $300 and
placed on probation for six
months while Skellenger was fined
$200.

Timothy Skelton, 33, of North
Vancouver, received a conditional
discharge and was placed on pro-
bation for 12 months after he
pleaded guilty to the lesser charge
of theft under $1,000 in connec-
tion with an Aug. 25 incident.

Skelton was originally charged
with break and entry.

Vancouver provincial court on
Oct. 30:

Guy Nicholas Leggatt, 19, of
North Vancouver, received a con-
ditional discharge and was piaced
on probation for six months after
he pleaded guilty to assaulting a
man on Scpt. 4.

As a condition of probation,
Leggatt must complete 25 hours
of community service.
