Stress takes toll on paramedics

vehicle accident and every canyon
rescue during the three previous
weeks.

Recently, a North Vancouver
ambulance attendant commitied
suicide. Jones says both am-
bulance attendants and firefighters

have regular counselling sessions
to help them cope with the stress
