PLANTING ROSES

Each rose is ‘preplanted’ in an attractivee and weatherproof milk carton
type container.. This preplanted method of packaging allows the cus-
tomer to plant the rose with soil and roots intact. Thus proiectingall
tender fibrous root hairs that have developed in the early stages of
growth. Unlike other packaged roses, There is no shock or set back when
transplanting from package to garden. This in turn promotes an earlier
and more productive flowering period.

The high quality is also maintained by the use of a liquid wax bath, in
which each rose is stem dipped and dryed. The advantages of waxing
these roses are: (1) Dehydration does not occur as quickly in a waxed
bush, (2) waxed roses are more vigorous in growth and development, (3)
wax protects the rose against wind and other environmentat hazards that
amy cause disease.
