Listed below are a few of the many volunteer opportunities available through the North Shore Information and Volunteer Centre. INTERESTED IN ART? An art aide is needed to assist a local arts council. Duties include the hanging and taking down of art in various public places. Also needed is a person to assist with picture loan evenings. Hours are one morning per month or one Thursday even- ing per month. CARING ACTIVITY AIDE to help with discussion of current events, and assist with handicrafts and card games. Volunteer should have good English and language skills and enjoy working with seniors. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. ARTISTIC ORGANIZED cleri- cal worker is needed by an arts council for office work. Duties in- clude typing and some copying and clipping from periodicals and papers. Volunteer must have typ- learn yoga YOGA ENTHUSIASTS can par- ticipate in a program offered by the North Shore Neighbourhood House. Hatha yoga improves total health of body, mind, emotion and spirit through practices of breathing exercises, relaxation and meditation. The course will help participants learn new yoga skills or improve upon their present skill. The instructor of Hatha voga is Rosemary Courquin. Winter evening classes will be held Mondays, 5:45 to 7:15, Jan. 16 to March 20. Daytime classes will be held Wednesdays, 9:30 to Ila.m., Jan. 18 to March 22.
