WEST VANCOUVER Logo chosen for library WEST VANCOUVER Memorial Library has a new logo. Dawn Sikula of the West Vancouver Memorial Library Board announced recently that Christina Kristensen, a second-year student in the graphic design program of the Emily Carr College of Art and Design, was the winner of the board’s recent library logo contest. A special panel which included Friends of the Library and Horseshoe Bay architect David Weiser examined approximately 20 submissions before recommending three finalists to the library board. The board then selected Kristensen’s ‘‘simple yet effective” design, in a decision Sikula termed “very tough,” given the quality and imaginative nature of the submissions. Kristensen wins a prize of $100 and a further $100 goes to Emily Carr College. The library board expects to incorporate the winning design in a new logo for the library in the near future. “Public Hearings __ The Commission; pursuant to the Inquiry Act and Order in Council No. 690 as amended, appointing the Honourable Judge Thomas K.
