A 42-YEAR-OLD B.C. Rail employee has become the latest North
Shore resident to hit the lottery jackpot.

Anthony Hyde won $70,792.89 on the Feb. 21 Lotto 6/49 draw.

The North Vancouver resident adds to the growing list of North
Shore lottery winners.

Since November, North Shore residents have won just over $4.4
million in various lotteries.

Hyde says he plans to share the windfall with his’ sons Zacharia
‘and Jedediah and invest what is left.

charges laid

A 27-YEAR-OLD North Vancouver man will appear to fix a date
for tial March 9-on charges of breaching probation, taking 4
vehicle without consent and assaulting a police officer.

Trevor Paul Warrington appeared Monday before North Van-
couver provincial court Judge J.K. Shaw to face the charges that
‘were laid against him in connection with a Jan. 27 incident in
which he allegedly contacted a woman contrary to terms of his
probation and took her car without her consent.

Warrington was also charged with assaulting a police officer in
connection with a Feb. 1 incident. .

AIDS advisory

HEALTH Minister Peter Dueck recently announced the formation
of a provincial advisory committee on AIDS.
“This committee will provide my ministry with expert views on
the many issues created by the growing presence of AIDS in our
society and will be cooperating with the inter-ministerial committee
