Forest protection officer Jack Kouwenhoven said the report of a fire on one of the highest trails on Lions Peak recently came froma hiker. He said the hiker tried to put out the blaze but it was too large. By the time the report was made and the provincial parks workers dispatched, Kouwenhoven said, the fire had burnt out. Ex-student files suit A DAMAGE suit has been filed against a North Vancouver teacher who pleaded guilty in 1982 on two counts of gross indecency with two male students, Campbell Colin Dagg was given a suspended sentence and 360 hours of community work. The Crown appealed the sentence, and the B.C. Court of Appeal added a 30-day jail term last November.
