This year there will be an added -sparkle to the Christmas light display at The Park & Tilford Gardens in North Vancouver. A fully decorated 50 foot tree will be the focal point of the annual display. With a height equivalent to a 5- storey building, the tree will serve as a beacon to guide the more than 100,000 persons expected.to visit the Lower. As always, the trees, shrubs and buildings of The Gardens will be decorated with miniature lights and, in additon, a special floral display in The Flower Garden will be highlighted with a profusion of poin- settias, azaleas and cyclamen. The complex operation of installing the tree took place in the early afternoon December 1. The tree, donated by Millstream Fimber, was transported by truck trailer from the Fraser Valley. A- 60 ton crane, donated by Sorensen Crane Rentals, lifted the tree from - Cotton Road and set it into place in The Gardens. A special basket attached to Vig. The Park & Tilford Gardens light display continues until January 15. Christmas music will be played until December 26.
