fully on June 2, 1990, at Lions
Gate Hospital.

Gwen, born and educated in
Vancouver, was a graduate of
The Vancouver General Hospital
Schoal of Nursing and obtained
her Graduate Nurses’ Teaching
Certilicate at McGill University.
She eventuaily taught nursing at
the Vancouver Vocaiionat In-
Stitute and upon her retirement in
1977 was Supervisor of the Prac-
tical Nursing Department.

Gwen's nine year iliness was
borne with great courage. She
received invaluable help in her
illness from Dr. Donald Calne,
Head o! the Samuel and Frances
Belzberg Dystonia Foundation at
UBC and Mrs. Susan Caine, Head
of the nursing staff at the UBC
Neurologicat. Hospital, and trom
Or. David J. Martin of West Van-
couver, whose efforts on Gwen's
behalf went beyond the call of
duty.

There is no service, but al a later
date a private Memorial Service
