At its recent annual meeting, the association decided to urge West Vancouver District Council to hald all new building permit applica- tions for single-family houses in abeyance, pending implementation of the recommendations of the Barcham Report. The report suggests several ways of encouraging more tasteful design of larger houses in established neighborhoods, in- cluding reduction of floor area ratios, an increase in side yards (particularly above the second floor) and contro! of building lengths and heights. The ratepayers then made a se- cond unanimous resolution to cooperate with other associations in opposing the twin tower development proposed for 320 Taylor Way. ~ CANADIAN E CLOSET - SHOPS to your future! | ay D.
