contro! over the situation by involving
them in reading the labe!s for you.

For 1st and 2nd Graders:

Instead of getting them to pick the largest
box, ask your children to choose the 454
gram package or whatever. particular size
suits your family’s needs.

Telt your children that the ingredients are listed in descending order
of amount, and have them find the cereal with the least amount of
sugar — including honey, rorn syrup, molasses, sucrose, dextrose

and glucose.
Sth and 6th Graders

Using the unit pricing located on the shelves, have your children
select the best dollar buy in regard to price, size and contents.
