As the boat slammed into rocks, two of the men aboard were hurled through the windshield and a third was crushed in the bulkhead area by the impact. A witness to the accident, North Vancouver SPCA shelter superintendent Tom Van Guilder, said the pleasure craft Calrossie, a cruiser he estimated to be 32-36 ft., zig-zagged past him - white -he -was_fishing-on-a +7 ft. power boat with a frend, Rick Rockhffe of Deep Cove. Van Guilder said that after the injured had been taken to hospital he and others present attempted to salvage the damaged boat. “We spent the next two and a half hours keeping it afloat,” he said. “We took a bunty off the harbors board boat and took it to Cates Park - and then it sank. “We towed it up on shore as far as possible and the harbors board police said to leave it there and the tide went up and it sank. “It was a shame.
