The North Vancouver Out-
door School is holding its 6th
Annual Onen House at the
school, which ic located 10
miles north of Squamish, on
Victoria Day. Monday, May
23. 1977. This environmental
education program, which is
sponsored by School District
No. 44 (North Vancouver), is
one of the leading programs
of this tvpe in the province
and attracts visitors from
throughout North America
and overseas.

During the Open House
there will be sheep shearing
demonstrations, gold pan-
ning and aie display of
beckecping. Grade 11 and 12
students who have been
counsellors at the school will

be conducting tours to show
the various aspects of the
program, As students from
Carisbrooke Elementary
School, North Vancouver,
will be in residence, visitors
will be able to see the school
in action, between the hours
of 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Last vear, in spite of
tcrrential rain, more than 250
adults and children enjoyed a
day in the country. At this
time of the. vear_ the
Squamish Highway is pic-
turesquc and well worth the
drive for its own sake. So
why not bundle up the family
and head north on Victoria
