A special society that puts the talents of engineers and industrial designers to work for people with disabilities is looking for people to help on the North Shore. “We're looking forward to harnessing funds tram a provincial goverament pro- gram to assist people with dis- abilities to live a better life,” says San Sullivan, founder of the Tetra Society of North America. “What we need is to identify those people on the North Shore who can benefit from what we offer.” The Tetra Society of North America has been serving peo- ple with disabilities for more than a decade, growing from one group to a national organi- zation with more than 30 chapters. Its primary tocus is linking the skills of engineers, techni- cians and designers with people with disabilities who need cus- tom technical assistive devices hot commercially available.
