The carly bird gets the
worm, and the early buyer
will get the best selection of
books and records at the
Early Bird Book Sale at
Lynn Valley branch of
North Vancouver — District
Library the weekend of
Nov. 6 and 7.

The library system will be sel-
ling a huge selection of books and
other materials that are no longer
needed in the collection, either
because there are surplus copies or
because more recent material has
been acquired.

Adult non-fiction books go for
one dollar; other hardbacks and
records are 50 cents; and maga-
zines and paperbacks are two for

25 cents.

Previous book sales have shown
that the greatest demand is for’
“how-to”? books on topics such as
home renovations, sports and
hobbies, and self-improvement.

Children’s books are always fast
sellers, and popluar fiction is also
an attraction: many people find
library sales a good place to pick
up the best-sellers from previous
years that they always meant to
read.

There is a book for every taste,
and wise shoppers will take the
opportunity to pick up stocking
stuffers for everyone in the fami-
ly. ;
Since the library is gradually
phasing out its collection of re-
cords in favor of cor:pact discs,
this sale‘ will also feature a large
selection of records. .

This sale will take place at the
Lynn Valley Library, 1280 East
27th St. (on the side of the Lynn
