Mayor Lanskail’s positive response
to curbside recycling in West Van-
couver, as aired recently on CBC.

We also understand that recycl-
_ing will begin in West Vancouver

schools in September.

This same service must now be
extended to seniors, high-rise
apartments, townhcuses, multiple
dwelliags, restaurants,
businesses and public parks.

We understand that we are
predominantly a community of
seniors and .young families.

They never give notice to drivers
far enough in advance and conse-
quently we have two lanes abruptly
told to merge. This causes frustra-
tion, near accidents, and very long
lineups.

I trust the municipal managers
involved will establish a “‘rule of
thumb” and correct these chaotic
situations.
