Strategy proposals

announced recently thar it will

The recommendations are aimed
at raising the North Shore’s profile
as a centre of economic aclivity,
increasing public awareness of the
contribution to the community
made by North Shore business and
industry and utilizing opportunities
to improve the area's economic
base so as to provide more long-
term employment and economic
health.

Task forces from industry,
tourism, marine industry and
commercial-professional sectors,
appointed by NSEAC in February,
produced the proposals.

Proposals from the task forces
will be presented to the organiza-
tions considered key to implemen-

three North Shore municipalities,
the North and West Vancouver
chambers of commerce and the
Squamish and Burrard Indian
bands. Proposals will later be
released to the public.
