The refreshed Moore fcursome scored a big five points in the first end of the finals, stole two more in the second and kept the Anne Bartlett tink well back of them from there on in. The tip to the world championships will be the first for Moore, Jones and Carney and the second ap- pearance for Sparkes, who skipped Canada's entry to the 1979 event to third place. “1 think we have a good chance as long as the ice is good,” says Moore of the coming competition. Barr, three time winner of the B.C. Open, who last year set a Canadian pro record with single season earnings of $113,336, will be staging a free golf clinic at 2 p.m. at Lion's Gate Golf Centre in co-operation with the Big Brothers Association of Greater Vancouver. Lion’s Gate Golf Centre is located on Welch Street in North Vancouver, behind the International Plaza Hotel. Barr, who now lives in Vancouver, has won the Quebec, Alberta and Washington State Opens, and was a member of Canada’s World Cup teams five times, winning the indi- vidual title in 1983. Barr also won the Quad- Cities Open on the PGA tour in 1981.
