Story and photos by Ellsworth Dickson The home of Maurice and Ann Walpole is unique both inside and outside. Custom designed with four levels, the house borders a small creek. The landscaping has to be seen to be believed. Ann, who is a member of the Alpine Garden Club in Vancouver has put in about seven years of hard work turning a difficult lot into a showcase of plants from all over the world. It was necessary to build terraces, retaining walls. steps, and a bridge. There are also two. greenhouses and a gazebo. Two nice touches are the herb garden and a moss lawn The house itself has three decks and a bnck patio. The rooms are unconventional in that most are not square and there is good separation and privacy. There are four bedrooms, two four-piece baths and a powder room.
