Tulips, whether potted or cut, should be obtained when the buds have not yet opened so that they can give many days of enjoyment in the home. (Photo by Malak) WV library offers records The West Vancouver Memorial Library is ex- panding and updating its collection of recordings for adults and children. Over 500 new recordings have already been made available and there will be a steady supply of new albums in the months ahead. The library is fortunate to have a record collection of about 1500 discs at present. It 1s the hope to double that in 1980, the library’s 30th amniversary year. Because the original collection was started with public donations, the hope is that this present upgrading of the collection can elicit more donated albums. If you have records that you may have taped or if your collection is crowding you out of listening space, the library would welcome any donation of personal recordings. In this way the year’s goal of doubling the library’s collection can be met. All new records are being displayed in new browsing bins by category and everyone should find something of interest. Records are lent for 14 days at no cost. Suggestions for specific purchases or areas of interest are being solicited at the library. ‘Inhumane’ poison says Greenpeace VANCOUVER (UPC) - The Greenpeace Foundation has condemned the BC _ Fish and Waildhfe Branch for issuing a third permit [to poison wolves and coyotes Greenpeace President Patnck Moore said Sunday the permit, allowing the use of “inhumane” potson Compound 1080 would amount to a ‘free exlerminauvion program” against wolves government Moore said the foundation youn the B ¢ Association for the Protection of Fur Beanng Animals in appealing to the provinces pestiide Control board to the will have permit quashed Bayne Vance Confirmed Friday the the Board spokesman issuc. oof permit to be used for (reactive Control of wolves and said to be killing arcas of coyotes livestow kooan varbous the prov ime ¢ Moore said he cannot understand why the branch wants to potson wolves and coyotes when “not that many livestock are being kulled ” Artistic Tlails Seu lptu ved by Suzanne Suzanne ofters her expertise in permanent lashes. natural looking artistic nails. and manicures All of these equal beauty sensuality and elegance The answer is at the tips of your fingers Only $25 Reg *35 Sale Jan 23-27 For more information or appointment phone 980-2625 HOURS 125 Tues. & Wed.
