He was 46.: Born. in Edmonton, Mr. Shepard grew up in Western Canada, attending schools in Edmonton, Coleman, Alber- ta, .Trail and West Vancou- ver. In 1947 he joined Fred Welsh and Son Ltd., plumb- ing contractors, Vancouver, and in 1952, formed a partnership with Syd Welsh- and Garth Pither to develop _the pioneer Canadian cable- ’ Tenants reject new centre — A recent survey shows that Seymour area tenants are not in favor of a large shopping centre as discussed by the Council of the District of ~ North Vancouver. In a questionnaire sent out to all tenants in the Seymour area, only 18 per cent were in favor of such a shopping centre while 81 per cent were Against. Fifty-one. per cent were in favor of, a small ‘shopping centre with 44. per cent against and three per cent undecided.
