The academic program is central at Island Pacific

foie an investigative approach to learning. Grade 9
students niust conipiete a yearend Masterwork pro-
ject as 2 requirement of graduation. Classroom
instrucdon is augmented with bi-weekly excursions to
ihe thezires, art palicries, museums, and work sites
of Vancouver.

The outdoor pursuits and community service pro-
grams provide opportunities for students to develop
personally as well 2s: intellectually. Students go on
three outdoor expeditions a year (hiking, skiing, and
Kayaking) and devote 10 hours each semester to

Vancouver (EFIV, International French

School of Vancouver) is an independent,
secutar, co-educational school. Kt welcomes all children
who are willing and able to study in French (admission

EFIV offers the acsdemic curriculum of France
Ministry of Education, enriched by English as a second

A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION

All students’ parents are active members of the EFIV

Society, a non-profit organization registered in Victoria.

They elect their Directors among themselves. The

Board also includes the Principal, the French

Ambassador int Ottawa and the French Consul General

in Vancouver.
