A hike up Hollyburn

a feast

THANKS to a Cypress
Bowl employee, our
planned snowshoe
excursion turned into a
regular hike.

“It's like a sidewalk out
there,” the rental dude advised
as we attempted to rent snow-
shoes one recent sunny morn-
ing.

“Out there” was the popu-
lar Hollyburn Mountain hike
which can be picked up ar the
Cypress’ cross-country — ski
area, This was before the
recent dump of snow on the
North Shore mountains, and
the holiday crattic up and
down the route had indeed
formed a wide and solid snow
trail. No snowshoes required.

True to the helpful atten-
