O’Doul's was closed from March 1985 to April 1986. The restaurant ran the risk of losing its faithful clientele and winding up on the shoulder of the always capricious road of restaurant trends. But, like a jovial host just returned from an extended holi- day, O’Doul’s has come roaring back to life with a new look and a new set of clothes, but the same old social warmth. The new O’Doul’s combines a clean, bright interior dressed in pink and dark green shades sur- rounding black and white floor tiles and the wide-open spaces of high ceilings and glass walls. O’Doul’s staff is outgoing and efficient, while the food is moder- ately priced and prepared with simple elegance.
