lanskail elected to GVRD board

WEST VANCOUVER Mayor Don
Lanskaii has been elected to the
board of directors of the Greater
Vancouver Regional] District.

Surrey Mayor Don Ross has
been elected to a record fifth term
as chairman of the regional
organization.

The late Ron Andrews, former
mayor of North Vancouver
District, served as head of the
GYVRD for four years.

Mayor David Criscoll of Port

Moody was re-elected by acclama-
tion to his third term as deputy
chairman of the GVRD board. He
has served on Port Moody coun-
cil for seven years, the last three as
mayor.

There are six new directors on
the 24-member 1987 board, one of
the largest turn-overs since the
GVRD was established in 1967,
From Vancouver they are Mayor
Gordon Campbell, Ald. Jonathan
Baker, Ald. Helen Boyce and Ald.
Carole Taylor; from Burnaby Ald.
