another beer bottle cap to his sculpture in his North van apartment. ‘Tinman’ as his
friends call him, has been working on the monument to the beer industry since

November. There are 12 to 15 thousands caps in the sculpture which includes a solid
pyramid and a wall that surrounds his dining room.

Night Train and its crew to
head for the roundhouse, to
take stock of the = ac-
complishments to date, and
to get itself all gussied up for
the seasons ahead. Even
though you'll be looking
forward to lazy classless
summer evenings, I hope
you'll think of us once in a
while, even to occasionally
wondering what subject
you'll register for, come
September. Watch for the
new fall brochure sometime
in late summer.

The Night Train crew
wont be quite the same
when the train starts rolling
this fall. Principal Bill
McGowan, who has been at
the helm of the night classes
since the early 1960's, is
opting for the next phase of
the good  life-retirement.
Under his concerned
leadership registration of the
North Shore night schools
has risen to about 16,000
students a year and as you
well know, those students
have been offered a most
marvellous mixed bag of

courses, year after year.
When you _— suggested
something new, Mr.

McGowan was agreeable to
give ita try. For twenty years
adult education on the North
Shore has been lively, in-
teresting, exciting alter-
native to stay-at-home TV
viewing and for the Bill
McGowan deserves a big
thank-you from all those
whose lives were touched by
adult education classes.
