The other is also tiny, but round Medieval style, meant to be worn over a mass of veils. It's a mystery to me how the royalty ever kept them on their heads! I'd love to see a bride wearing the pointed one to keep her veil in place. So lovely, no-one . would even look at the bride! Somehow, the whole village made me think of weddings and honeymoons. Do it with someone you love! Should that not work out, remember, the pubs and shopping in Maastricht are only minutes away! Speaking of shopping. there is an antique “shop” in Thorn just a few doors away from the hotels. The proprictor speaks no English but is very pleasant. I bought assport Photos while you walt ~~ three antique pans for a few dollars and wished I had the space and the moncy to afford more. The values are excellent and the antiques are right out of the old farm houses in the area. The shop really isn’t - it’s an old garage and a courtyard full of odds and ends. It has no name but you can’t miss it - right across the street from “ ‘t Stift” on Hoffstraat. A visitor from Holland called and gave me the name of that cheese bar in Maastricht.
