The runners will cover 30 miles (48.6 km) of the Baden-Powell trail across the North Shore mountains, with a vertical change of 16,000 feet (4,900 m). Last year’s winners, Peter Findley of Kamloops and Mar- cia Winger of Sardis, will challenge an international field including Fiona Cole, one of Britain’s top female trail run- ners, and Gary Wright of Seat- tle, who completed ten 100- mile trail runs last year.
