changed hands again.

Tn 1995, Mark Park, for-
merly of West Vancouver’ 's
Arigato Sushi and Vancouver's
Kama Sushi, took over
Ichiban from Monica Han.

But Park has since sold the
second-storey sushi bar to for-

mer North Shore resident
Michael Cheung, who already
operates the Kanikaze
Japanese Bistro in Richmond.

Cheung has added more
substances to the previous
Ichiban menu.

Table Hopping has vet to
visit the new Ichiban. Reader

This year’s Chef For Life
extravaganza will bring .
together 11 chefs from some
of the Lower Mainland’s best
restaurants, including Ernst
Dorfler of the Five Sails at the
Pan Pacific Hotel, Scott Kidd
of the Raincity Grill, Robert
Clark of C Restaurant and
host chef Don Letendre of
the Vancouver Moustache
Cafe.

Tickets for the Chef8 for
Life event are $350 per per-
