Toast your host with
da unique gift basket

IT’S always nice to
arrive at a special party
with something for the
host.

One great idea is to put
togethewa basket of wonder-
ful gift items. Although Jarger
baskets are very impressive,
smaller ones can be equally
outstanding. With a bit of
creativity you can design your
own basket for your hest or
friends.

Give yourself a few days to
shop around for the little
items to put in the basket.
You will be amazed at how
creative you can be!

Materials
B large or small basket (wood
or wire);
@ newspaper;
& stuffing (available at craft
stores);
B® chocolates;
@ jams or jellies;
Hi vinegars (available at spe-
cialty food store);
& fresh ground cofice;
@ ribbon and decorations
(ball ornaments, dried flow-
ers, evergreens)
@ clear cellophane (available
at hardware stores and sta-
tionery stores)
@ crackers;

A gift for the host of a party can include an impres-
sive basket of goodies prepared by yourseff.

@ cookies;
@ any small food items that
will not spoil.

Roll the newspaper in
balls and place in bottom of
basket. Cover the newspaper
with stuffing. Arrange the
food items in the basket with
the larger ones at the back.

If your basket is going to
sit for a few days be careful
Not to use perishable i items.

Once all items have been

placed you can wrap the bas-
ket with the cellophane and
decorate it with the ribbon.

For a unique touch, try
dressing the basket with some
fresh evergreens, berries and
dried flowers. I think you will
be impressed with the results
and your friends will surely
appreciate your efforts.
