COLIN RIGHTON leads
a colorful life.

_ The North Vancouver
_artist’s - vivid-hued acrylic
paintings, which frequently
carry a musical theme, are
often adopted for use by vari-
ous musical festivals.

Last summer his painting
Rhapsody was reproduced on
posters, T-shirts and banners
for Whistler's Music in the
Mountains Festival.

Another work, Harmony,
-was adopted by the Bellevue

Phitharmonic Orchestra to
illustrate its concert program.
Harmony was also released as
a limited-edition print, avail-
able through the orchestra or
the artist.

This summer, one -of
Righton’s most recent images
will grace the posters and T-
shirts used to promote West
Vancouver's Harmony Arts
Festival, Aug. 12-18.

The image is one of several
that went on display yesterday
at the Ferry Building Gallery,

1414. Argyle Ave., West
Vancouver, The exhibition,

called “A Colorful Life,” runs
through May 12.
