following a two-year. stint as assis-
tant .coach. at the. University of
Victoria. Many in the: North Shore,

ber Stanton as the 1993 head coach
of the Cruisers Summer Swim Team,

Stanton was a member ef the 1985
Team for B.C. as
well as the. 1987 Western Canada
Games, where she. won five medals.
She was a National Elite Swimmer
and was recognized as part of B.C.’s
“Best Ever™ program for swinuners
withity the top eight in Canada,

Atthe 1988 Olympic trials, she
also placed ninth in. the 400-metre
individual medley.
