A DAY IN COURT

THE FOLLOWING people appeared
in North and West Vancouver provin-
cial courts recently to face various
charges laid against them.
Before Judge R.D, Grandison in North
Vancouver provincial court on May 10:
Glen Bruce McLean was fined $200
after the 22-year-old North Vancouver
man was found guilty of assault caus-
ing bodily harm in connection with aa
Aug. 26, 1987 incident involving a
woman.
Before Judge J.L. McCarthy in North
Vancouver provincial court on May 9:
Moses Edward Nahanee was fined
$150 and put on probation for 12
months after the 29-year-old North
Vancouver man pleaded guilty to
assaulting a woman in connection with
an April 20 incident. .

Larry Kenneth Smith received a
Suspended sentence and was put on
probation for 18 months after the 38-
year-old North Vancouver man pleaded
guilty to theft of tobacco in connection
with a March 3 incident at a Canada
Safeway.

Before Judge R.D. Grandison in North
Vancouver provincial court on May 9:

James William Kern was fined $150
after the 24-year-old North Vancouver
man pleaded guilty to a Feb. 26 hit and

run on Braemer Road.

Allan Douglas James was fined $200
after the 32-year-old Squamish man
pleaded guilty to a March 2! theft in-
cident at Sears.

Glen Alan Helgren received a
suspended sentence and was put on
probation for six months after the 27-
year-old Nanaimo man pleaded guilty
to theft of bread and other food items
March 30 from Save-On Foods.

Before Judge R.D. Grandison in North
Vancouver provincial court on May 7:

Paul Stewart Fanzone was fined $200
after the 19-year-old North Vancouver
man Pleaded guilty to possession of
marijuana in connection with a Nov.
13, 1989 drug seizure.

Before Judge J.K. Shaw in West Van-
couver provincial court on May 3:

David Phillip Bruneau was fined
$100 and had his driver's license
suspended for six months after the 27-
year-old North Vancouver man pleaded
guilty to driving without a driver's
license in connection with a March 2)
incident.

Before Judge 3.K. Shaw in West Van-
couver provincial court cn May 1:

Frederick Neil Dasilva was fined
$200 after the 25-year-old Delta man
pleaded guilty to possession of mari-
juana in connection with a March 24
drug seizure at Cvpress Bow!.
